Different types?
Fantasy encompasses a huge list of sub-genres; from epic fantasy (The Lord of the Rings) to urban fantasy (Neverwhere) to paranormal fantasy (Twilight). Of course, there are disagreements as to which books fall into which category, and arguments can always be made for each.
Where do I fit in?
The Transcedent Saga, like many other titles crosses sub-genres. Elements of dark, epic, and romance fantasy are found within its pages, providing a little something for everyone. But I also consider myself a magical realist. Magic has to have rules – if someone can do something amazing, what are their limitations? How does it work? If you don’t know, nobody else will either.

This website lays out the different sub-genres quite well, although it hasn’t been updated in a while, and is by no means exhaustive. Still, it gives you an idea and might provide some interesting fantasy novels to delve into.
